Light
in the
Darkness

These works were created to explore
Light in the Darkness.

Following a very low time in my life where there seemed to be no light.

A time when I could see no beauty in the things the light shone upon.

These times have now passed like snow on the mountain.

Light could still be.

Star light and moonlight.

Starlight and Moonlight

Lord of the Rings

To witness the shimmer of light on the waves, the sparkle of frost on the ground, the brightness of the full moon on the coldest of nights which seemed to turn night into day convinced me that light and colour could be seen in the darkness, there was light.

This darkness will pass

This darkness will pass

And the light will shine out all the brighter

What you can see, when what you can see is beyond reckoning.

Even in the darkness there is light.

There are 6 art works included in this 'Light in the Darkness' Series.

They have been created to celebrate that there is 'Light in the Darkness'. Even when winter approaches and the nights are crisp and biting, there is moon light and starlight which brings hope and beauty into this world.

The works capture moon light so bright that it cast deep pools of shadow, then diamond sparkles on frost where the light hits our earth.

Waves then dance in the heavenly brought light creating a transparent glow mesmirise the watcher.

The miracle of light created from beyond the night's moon and stars as the solar winds skirt our earths atmosphere creating its own dance of magnificent light.

The aurora.

Our world of night time light is a mix of exotic solar winds, moon and stars, then street lights, car tail lights and pylons.

This self portrait was done to portray an exhaustion I felt while working as an A and E nurse during the height of Covid.

It was a piece of art which flowed from the heart.

Personal expressive art has always helped when I have felt like I cant go on and have nowhere to turn.
